But Hampshire is terrific for holiday golf breaks with its plentiful offering of seaside resorts and National Parks such as The New Forest and South Downs to compliment enjoyable golfing at golf courses such as Liphook, Meon Valley and Old Thorns. The county itself is perhaps most famed for its ties to the Royal Navy, British Army and Royal Air Force, and indeed there are a number military associations at golf clubs near Southampton, Portsmouth and Aldershot.
